Only the print will be shipped in a strong protected shipping tube, to reduce over all cost, while you can choose your own custom frame.

This astrophotography image of Comet Lemmon next to Mount Hood in Oregon, consists of four images composed together for a panoramic view. Three of the photos were taken at the same focal range while panning left to right to stitch the images together. The comet was photographed at 600mm focal range for clearer detail for higher quality rendering once edited and resized to match the entire scenery. Different exposure times were also used in order to achieve optimum results. The real magic happens during the processing of the images, in order to complete a photographic masterpiece. This is one of the first real astrophotography images I have taken with the comet next to a beautiful piece of scenery on location.

In order to get the best of both worlds, I combined a detailed image of Mount hood at closer range of less than 2 miles away with Comet Lemmon viewed from a 600mm focal range. I also included a nice touch of highlighted snow with a subtle glow from the comet, even though it adds a touch of fantasy, it delivers more to the imagination and creative senses. I really enjoy the artistic side of rendering wildlife and landscape photos. I have discovered over the years, that night time photography is one of the most challenging to create well balanced imagery, while maintaining somewhat of a realistic approach.
